Everyone who eats bed bugs is your allies and natural friends!

Who eats bedbugs

Bed bugs have natural enemies that feed on bed bugs. This is important to know, although in practice you will not be helped by natural aggressors, but by quality chemicals and a sanitation service. Find out who eats the insects that eat you.

A person can ask this question for two purposes. Firstly, he wants to have a pet that will eat bed bugs, and secondly, there are a few more insects around, so he wonders if these insects will eat bed bugs or not.

What are bed bugs most afraid of?

These vile parasites have haunted humanity from time immemorial. How much do natural enemies of bed bugs affect their population in an apartment? And are there among the insects that live in houses, those who eat bed bugs?
This question is especially relevant when both types of uninvited guests start up at home. It seems that if some ate others, this would be the perfect solution to at least half of the problem.

But do cockroaches eat bedbugs? Unfortunately, cockroaches are not predatory insects and cannot hunt. They like the food that people eat, so they tend to their homes. Bedbugs are only interested in blood, so the interests of these insects do not intersect in any way.

It can be assumed that cockroaches eat bedbug eggs, but if this happens, then only as an exception. According to eating habits, the limits of habitation of some are associated with the kitchen and dining room, and others with the bedroom. So bugs and cockroaches rarely meet each other.

House ants

Other inhabitants of the apartments are red ants, which are also called pharaoh ants. They, although omnivorous, also prefer human food, especially sweet.

They also have few points of contact with bed bugs, but chance encounters for a bug can end sadly - a poisonous ant bite is fatal for him.

Centipedes

Flycatchers from the order of labipods are centipedes. These are predatory creatures that often climb into people's homes and feed on synanthropic insects and spiders there.

Flycatchers are one of those who happily eat bedbugs when they come across them. But they only live in damp, dark shelters (under the bathroom, for example) and rarely get to sleeping places, near which bugs usually nest.

Spiders, as you know, are predators, which means they also do not mind eating bugs. The only catch is that spiders catch their prey with a spider net, and the bed bug, in its way of life, rarely gets into it. An exception is the vagrant spider, which hunts without using a net and from time to time gets into people's homes.

Other types of bedbugs

In the order of hemiptera (or bedbugs), interspecific cannibalism takes place. Bed bugs, in particular, sometimes fall prey to predatory cousins of the predatory family. A filthy predator and a domestic predator have mastered the homes of people in different regions and made a company to those who eat bloodsucking bugs.

Those that parasitize birds and animals and live in nests, burrows and caves, die from other types of predatory bugs.

During its existence, bed bugs have become quite resistant to common pesticides, and as a result, their population has grown, which has led to frequent contamination of homes with these parasites.Let's not guess on the coffee grounds to figure out how to get the linen monsters out. The search for a universal remedy for them has been going on for a long time. Below we will discuss folk and chemical pest control at home.

Do cockroaches get along with bedbugs

If your home is infested with bed bugs for the first time, you probably don't know what to do. These nasty insects can make your home really uncomfortable to live in. House bugs are a real scourge and can make it impossible for you and your family to sleep well at night. They can embarrass you when they bite guests who come to visit you.

This is why you need to do your best to get rid of bed bugs in your home. Bed bugs usually hide during the day and go out to feed at night. This is why it is almost impossible to physically throw them all away. Fortunately, there are certain scents that keep bed bugs away and you can use them. Use a brew with the following herbs that insects hate the most as a scent.

Using a clean 120ml spray bottle, fill it halfway with distilled or boiled water (cooled to room temperature). Add 30 mg of vodka (as a preservative), then about 50 drops of essential oils.

  • 10 drops of lemon (or a mixture of lemon and grapefruit or lemon balm / lemon verbena)
  • 10 drops of mint
  • 8 drops of lavender
  • 5 drops of geranium
  • 3 drops of vanilla
  • 3 drops of cypress
  • 3 drops of rosemary

Bed bugs, your worst nightmare, terrorizing you endlessly. Everyone knows that bed bugs are very difficult to kill, which usually means they can cost you a lot of money to kill them.

Ultrasonic devices cannot deter or attract bed bugs, at least the correct frequency combination has not yet been found. Bed bugs tend to be exposed to frequencies generated by their hosts (humans).

Therefore, it is possible that soon the traps will use the sounds made by their owners, such as breathing or snoring. Future research into the bioacoustics of bed bugs may benefit from the use of low-frequency sounds produced by humans during sleep.

Bleach can technically kill bed bugs by oxidizing their outer shell / body through sodium hypochlorite, but you will need to apply it directly to the bug and risk damaging your property or inhaling toxic fumes. The risks far outweigh the benefits, and we strongly recommend that you avoid using bleach or any other kind of "natural" alternative.

Yes! They are afraid if you are ready to freeze your home for several weeks at temperatures below eighteen or even twenty degrees below zero.

Bedbugs don't like extreme temperatures.

These invulnerable insects are not afraid of water and wet cleaning. It is a myth. They don't like water and don't live in bathrooms and damp basements because it's far from your bed. There are traps using water, but the principle of operation is not the fear of bedbugs, but they simply cannot get out of the water trapped on land. Or you can pour boiling water over them. But the main thing here is not water, but its temperature.

Bedbugs are afraid of light and love darkness. If you turn on the light at night, they will quickly flee away from you to their hiding places. But you will not get rid of them forever, just scare away for a short time. You can, of course, try sleeping in the light.

But this does not stop the cockroaches from fasting for a while and waiting until you get tired of it. And the cost of electricity has become high.

In addition to the myths already debunked, it can be added that cockroaches are not afraid of magnetic radiation, water with lemon juice and salt, steam from an iron, ants, and even adapted to some pesticides.

Removing bedbugs with folk remedies is also a myth. This is just a temporary measure.

Bed bug

Bed bugs prefer to settle in a person's house and choose a dormitory for life in order to be closer to the food source. These parasites feed only on animal or human blood. The female bug does not start laying eggs until she has drunk blood. An adult insect drinks up to 7 ml of blood in one night, which is 2 times its weight.

We suggest you familiarize yourself with: How to dilute karbofos from bedbugs

The reproduction of these vampires does not depend on the time of year and occurs continuously, if there is enough food. Under normal conditions, an adult bug lives for a year and a half. Bloodsuckers die in frost of minus 17 degrees and below, and even in heat, when the thermometer shows 45 degrees.

Bedbugs and cockroaches have only two features in common. They go for prey at night. They creep out into the light, driven by severe hunger.

It is possible to identify the presence of bloodsuckers in a dwelling by the following signs:

  • characteristic smell;
  • bite marks on the body;
  • specks of blood on the sheet.

Bedbugs are indifferent to water. They do not know how to swim, getting into a large amount of water, insects will drown. Wet places of residence, strong humidity does not harm them. They won't live in a place like this. Bed bloodsuckers prefer to organize their nests in dry, warm, dark places.

Water will not get rid of bed bugs. Wet cleaning can reduce the number of eggs, but this is an ineffective method of control. Adding salt or baking soda to the water will not work.

Pungent odors are unpleasant for house parasites, including from perfumery. It must be remembered that he will not kill the bugs, but only scare away. This is useful to get some sleep if insects are found indoors. For example, they saw that they had been bitten by bedbugs, but you need to wait until morning to buy an anti-parasite remedy.

It is necessary to apply strong-smelling cosmetics to the body - the bugs are guaranteed not to come close to such a source of food.

Parasites especially do not like the smell of aromatic oils - eucalyptus, lavender, orange, peppermint. To drive out bedbugs, to prevent their reappearance, wet cleaning is carried out with the addition of these oils to the water. They wash the floors and wipe the furniture for her.

It must be remembered that perfumery and aromatic essential oils do not work on eggs. They can only be used in combination with other means, then it will be possible to get positive results.

Some of the much-touted home pest control methods turn out to be completely useless. For example, magnetic resonance irradiation poses no threat to them. For this method to really work, you need to turn on such power that a person cannot withstand. Ultrasonic repellents are useless in the fight against bedbugs.

Wet cleaning with the addition of soda and salt does not help. These components will not affect nocturnal parasites in any way, especially in a diluted form. Salt and soda do not have pungent odors; they also cannot corrode the chitinous shell.

Avicularia purpurea

The homeland of the purple tarantula is the South American jungle. The maximum concentration of individuals was noted throughout Ecuador. The scope of the predator's paws ranges from 14 cm, and the length of the body is about 5-6 cm.

At night and in the evening, the tarantula's hairline appears black, but as soon as sunlight hits it, the spider begins to shimmer with a purple color. A rare reddish tint is visible in the region of the mandibles.

In its natural habitat, the predator prefers to settle in tree hollows, as well as near pastures. Individuals are also found in habitable premises. The purple tarantula is fearful, but not aggressive. The spider moves quickly and is unpretentious to care for. For forgetful owners, this is the perfect pet. The main thing is that the temperature in the terrarium does not fall below 25 ° C, and the humidity does not exceed 85%.

What will help against bedbugs?

Do cockroaches get along with bedbugs

The appearance of bed parasites does not depend on the cleanliness of the home and lifestyle. Modern bugs adapt to any conditions, they will find a suitable refuge everywhere. This is why everyone needs information about these domestic parasites.

Bedbug larvae can be brought into the house on animal hair, with cardboard packaging from the store, on clothes. There are many ways for parasites to enter the apartment. To get rid of them, you need to use the weaknesses of insects.

Briefly about cockroaches

The inhabitants believe that cockroaches (red Prusaks) are not as dangerous to humans as bed bugs. In their opinion, there is no particular harm from the Prussians, except that they cause a feeling of disgust and disgust.

It should not be forgotten that on their paws they bring a disease-causing infection into the house, and their secretions cause severe allergies in some people.

Since they find these conditions in the kitchen area, they settle there. You can find them during the day in secluded places, cracks, crevices. In search of food, they crawl out of their shelters exclusively at night.

Identifying cockroaches in your home is not difficult. If you suddenly turn on the light in the bathroom or kitchen at night, you will see a rapidly escaping cockroach.

The fact that cockroaches are found in the kitchen will be indicated by insect feces and chitinous shells left in the process of molting.

What are bed bugs most afraid of?

Night bloodsuckers do not like strong smells. They especially dislike the smell of tansy and wormwood. These plants are used to prevent insect infestation in premises. Fresh or dry twigs of plants collected during the flowering period are laid out in the habitats of parasites:

  • under the mattress;
  • next to the head of the bed;
  • on the shelves in the closet;
  • on the windowsills.

The dried chopped herbs are sewn into gauze bags and put into the pockets of clothes, which are hung in the closet for storage, laid out between books. It is effective to take a small fragrant pouch with you in a travel bag or suitcase. So there is less chance of bringing bedbugs from the trip.

  • Fresh mint. The first question is, what kind of grass are bugs afraid of? While people love the scent of fresh mint, bed bugs cannot tolerate this herb. You can use it to get rid of the laundry parasites that plague you and your family members on sleepless nights. The strong mint scent will instantly make the insects feel uncomfortable. In addition, this smell affects the bug's nervous system. This will help you kill them. The best way to harness the power of mint is to boil it in a pot of water. The strong scent will spread throughout the house. After boiling the mint, pour the resulting solution where the disgusting creatures are hiding to wash them off. You can also pour the solution into a spray bottle and spray it around the bedroom on mattresses and bedding. Personally, you will get the added benefit of peppermint in your home. The scent is not only pleasant, but also relieves stress. That way, a little peppermint will keep bed bugs and stress away from you. What other grass repels bedbugs?
  • Lavender. The obvious answer to the question of what other grass bed bugs do not like, because it exudes the aroma that bed bugs hate most. This is one of the best fragrances you can use when fighting your enemies in the home. You can purchase any product on the market that contains lavender. There are also so many lavender repellents in stores that have been specially formulated to repel bedbugs. It won't be difficult to find the product that works best. Spray lavender repellent on your bed to get rid of any bugs lurking between the sheets. You can also use skin care products that contain lavender. This will help prevent bedbug bites. The perfume, cream, or lotion you choose to keep bed bugs away should contain lavender as its main ingredient.If lavender is present in small amounts, it may not help you keep bed bugs away from your skin.
  • Garlic solution. Are there other folk remedies or some other herb that repels bedbugs? The scent of garlic in the apartment will make it unattractive to bedbugs. To be able to let the smell of garlic into your home, crush a few cloves near where they are hiding. You can boil the garlic to spread the smell throughout your home. After boiling, strain the liquid and pour it over the area where your uninvited guests are hiding. In cracks, crevices and other places. You should also pour the liquid into an aerosol can and apply it to the bed frames, baseboards, and the rest of the bedroom furniture. Unfortunately, you will also be annoyed by the strong smell of garlic. However, it makes sense to be patient if you want to get rid of the night monsters.
  • Cayenne pepper. Do you know this famous folk remedy from a series of popular tips on what pets are afraid of? This hot spice is not only useful when you want to prepare delicious meals, but it can also help you with the bug repelling problem. Sprinkle some cayenne pepper on the spot where the bugs are hiding. However, you should use this repellent with care if children are in the house. The spice can burn their mouth and irritate their eyes and nose.
  • Cinnamon powder. Another good ingredient in the bug family that you can use to get rid of bugs in your home. When you place this powder on your bed, pets hungry for your blood will flee because they cannot stand the smell. You can put this powder directly on your bed to poison the hideous settlers. If you can find pure cinnamon powder, use it as a preventative measure.

Serving Volumes for Spider Feeding

When feeding spiders, you need to take into account the serving size. It should not exceed 1/3 of the predator's body volume. The insect used for food should be 1.5-2 times less than the spider's body length.

A large dinner can greatly scare a young individual, she will experience fright and stress. And she is unlikely to be able to overpower a large portion. But still, some owners do not pay attention to this, they give pets an insect, which may be larger than them.

If the spider is hungry, has an aggressive mood, then he will quickly deal with the victim. But in a well-fed predator, such a volume of food will cause strong fear.

What smells scare bedbugs?

It is no coincidence that bedbugs are nocturnal parasites. They do not tolerate ultraviolet rays and high temperatures (more than 50 ° C). When a bright light appears, the bugs run away. They place their nests in dark places where light never penetrates. There they spend the main part of their life, they only go hunting once every 5 - 7 days.

We suggest that you familiarize yourself with: How to remove lice and nits on the head at home

A bright ray of light can cause bed parasites to panic - they begin to scatter. In this way, they check for bedbugs in the apartment - they suddenly turn on the light at about 3-4 o'clock in the morning. It is at this time that bedbugs go out to feed on blood.

Kerosene has a pungent smell, so it is able to scare off parasites. They handle baseboards, bed legs, cabinets, and other furniture. Lubricate doors, places under windows. Often, to enhance the effect, kerosene is used in mixtures with other substances - turpentine, naphthalene, laundry soap.

To kill bed bugs on bedding, wipe every spot with a little kerosene where you will find bugs and a black spot with their marks, if you find bugs on the floor, then wipe it too.

Aphonopelma seemanni

It is one of the most common tarantula species in Central America.It can be found in Honduras, Panama and Costa Rica. The predator prefers to live in burrows and goes hunting, as a rule, in the evening.

Individuals are distinguished by a contrasting color. The body itself is black or dark brown, and pronounced light stripes are visible on the legs. The body of a medium-sized spider is about 6 cm, as well as the span of the paws is about 15 cm.

Predators pose no danger to humans. On contact with the skin, the poison may burn a little, but no more. There were no serious allergic reactions after contact with the spider. Individuals do not show aggression towards humans, so many consider this tarantula as a pet.

Females of Aphonopelma seemanni live up to 30, and males up to 5-7 years. Humidity up to 80% and a temperature of at least 24 ° C are considered comfortable conditions for a spider. The predator is not picky about food and is happy to eat both cockroaches and small rodents.

Temperature drops

A comfortable environment for domestic bugs to live is the temperature range from 20 to 30 degrees. Temperature changes will affect the rate of development and reproduction of these parasites. With a significant decrease, for example, to -40, insects die. The freezing method is based on this, when furniture with bed bug nests is taken out in the cold and left for a long time.

This method of struggle is suitable in areas where the temperature is low for a long time. If the frost is not strong, the parasites will go into a state of suspended animation. When the temperature rises, insects become active, restore their vital activity.

High temperature acts more strongly on bed parasites. It is fatal for them to exceed 50 o C. This is used to get rid of domestic insects with the help of steam.

A steam generator is used to treat the nests and places of the alleged habitat of bed bugs. Clothes should be washed at a high temperature (at least 50 ° C). Turn bed linen inside out, iron it on both sides with a hot steam iron. Particular attention should be paid to the seams. This will get rid of the clutches of eggs that are usually in the seams.

Other insects

In addition to bedbugs, other insects can live in the apartment. Not all of them are able to live together. Some may eat other parasites. Bedbugs get along with cockroaches. They have different food and habitats. Only in some cases do cockroaches eat eggs from bedbugs.

Enemies of domestic bugs are:

  • ants;
  • centipedes;
  • spiders;
  • ticks;
  • other types of predatory bed bugs.

The smell of alcohol is also on the list that annoying bloodsuckers are afraid of. Are the bedbugs tortured? You can spray alcohol in the places where they hide. Many studies have shown that alcohol can also irritate bed bugs' bodies.

There are so many products on the market that contain alcohol to kill bed bugs. You can also use skin care products that contain alcohol to keep bed bugs away from you.

The best time to use these products is before bed. However, you must be careful not to select products that will irritate your skin. If you are allergic to alcohol, you should not use this bed bug repellent.

Bed bugs can really ruin a person's quality of life. They can make you hate the time to go to bed. Use the scent of alcohol to get rid of them in your home.

As homeowners desperately try to kill every little bug, they are constantly looking for folk remedies, homemade ones. One of the most common folk pest control remedies used by homeowners is rubbing in rubbing alcohol or isopropyl alcohol. In fact, there are numerous blood-sucking insect sprays available on the market that contain alcohol.

It is important to note that drinking alcohol can actually kill, ward off bed bugs, and control their infestation. But this relief should be seen as temporary. If the apartment is slightly infested, alcohol can be used to kill the bugs, but in the case of a serious infestation, it is important that you contact a professional.

Alcohol has several properties that make it effective at killing house bugs. Since alcohol is a solvent, it can kill insects by dissolving cells. In addition, alcohol can kill bed bug eggs by drying them out.

While linen beetles may seem quite tough, their skin is actually very sensitive. Therefore, when they are exposed to alcohol, they often die immediately. In addition, alcohol is quite dangerous for most of the organs of bed bugs. When alcohol comes into contact with the organs inside, it burns them up, thus spoiling the physiology of the beetle.

In addition, alcohol also destabilizes the pH of bed bugs, causing them to disrupt their internal fluid flow.

Alcohol also prevents them from laying eggs or crawling on surfaces that have been treated with it. As a result, spraying furniture and bedding with rubbing alcohol has become a common and cheap solution for killing bed bugs.

In addition, the reason for their rapid reproduction is their ability to lay hundreds of eggs at one time. By learning how to attack bed bug eggs, you can prevent these pests from breeding. Remember that getting rid of the eggs long before they hatch can completely eliminate the spread of these beetles throughout the house.

When using alcohol to kill bed bugs, make sure you use a spray bottle. This is not only the easiest way, but also the safest, given the toxic properties of alcohol.

Alcohol denatured alcohol

There are three types of isopropyl alcohol that can be used to kill bed bugs.

  • 70% isopropyl alcohol
  • 91% isopropyl alcohol
  • 99% isopropyl alcohol

Compared to the other two types, 70% isopropyl alcohol is less expensive, has safer flammability levels, and is more readily available. On the other hand, 70% of alcohol has a high likelihood of evaporation if the spray bottle is not closed.

Ethanol

Getting rid of bed bugs with alcohol is pretty easy, it only takes a few steps:

  • Vacuum the house. You need to vacuum the entire house, including the favorite habitats of pet bugs behind furniture and under the bed, upholstered furniture and curtains. Then, after you are done, you need to dispose of the vacuum bag and take it away from your home.
  • Get large bottles of alcohol. Most stores sell the alcohol needed for this process in gallons. If you have empty aerosol cans around your home, you can fill them with rubbing alcohol and then use it around the house. Large spray bottles are preferred.
  • Remove all sheets and covers. Remove all pillowcases, sheets, bedding, etc., and seal them in plastic bags. However, before sealing them, spray the items with rubbing alcohol to kill any bugs, larvae, and eggs present. In case of a large contamination, put together all linen, clothing and other items from each room and spray them with alcohol.
  • Wipe down the furniture. Wipe all furniture, including headboards and box springs, and all electronic products with rubbing alcohol. By spraying alcohol denatured alcohol, you can get rid of the larvae and eggs that hide in the crevices and crevices of every room.
  • Spray alcohol on suspected bedbug hideouts.Isopropyl alcohol can be sprayed all over your home to deter bedbugs from looking for their new home in yours. But, avoid using fire or smoking in areas where you sprayed. Using alcohol to kill bed bugs can be ineffective in the long run. And therefore should be seen as a temporary solution.

Ammonia

Can you kill bed bugs with ammonia? This destroys the outer layer of their shells and kills bed bugs on contact. The same mechanism means it can also kill any eggs you spray with ammonia. But it only works on contact, so it is not as effective as pesticide sprayers.

We suggest that you familiarize yourself: Bed bug bites itch or not

Ammonium has been used at home for centuries. But just because it has been in use for so long doesn't mean it's an effective solution. There are better options for treating infections from unsolicited bed visitors at home.

Means to get rid of cockroaches

Many people believe that by buying a can of insecticide and spraying it around the apartment, you can destroy all insects in one sitting. It's a delusion. The fact is that bedbugs and cockroaches lead different lifestyles, and their food is also organized in different ways. Cockroaches eat organic matter, and if they are absent, they can feed on paper and even plastic.

The same can be said for boric acid food baits. Bedbugs are absolutely not interested in what cockroaches eat, which means that they should be poisoned in completely different ways.

Most of the folk remedies that help in the fight against bedbugs do not destroy these insects, but only scare them away, making staying in an apartment unbearable. This effect, for example, is possessed by many plants, such as wormwood, tansy, chamomile. They are usually laid out near the bed, in the corners of the apartment, placed under the mattress.

However, there is one plant whose effect is fatal for bedbugs. This is wild rosemary, which is popularly processed as "bedbug". Usually this plant is harvested at the end of summer, dried and pounded into powder, which is then placed in the habitat of bedbugs. For bedbugs, such a powder is a real poison that destroys both adults and their larvae.

We suggest that you familiarize yourself with: Ants are wound up: how to deal with folk remedies?

In addition to various herbs, one of the most effective ways to get rid of bedbugs is freezing and evaporating insects. Carrying out furniture in the cold, or to hot steam are very effective means, since carasprays do not tolerate low and high temperatures.

In the fight against bedbugs, ordinary table vinegar is also often used, treating surfaces with it and even in insect habitats. Vinegar fumes cause the beetles to suffocate, and the very smell of vinegar effectively scares off blood-sucking parasites.

Pyrethrum powder is one of the most popular chemicals used to kill bed bugs. For humans, such a powder is safe, but for blood-sucking parasites, it is a potent poison, a real poison. Powder is sprinkled on insect habitats, and with the help of a rubber weight, it is “blown” into cracks and crevices where they can hide.

A common one very karbofos and at the same time an inexpensive remedy for bedbugs is karbofos. It is available both as a powder and in the form of a concentrated solution. In addition, which is included in many insecticidal solutions and aerosols. The drug has a pungent, unpleasant odor that disappears quickly enough.

The most popular remedy for exterminating cockroaches in an apartment or house is boric acid.On the basis of this drug, a wide variety of baits are prepared, including with eggs, potatoes or jam, mixing these products with boric acid and laying them out in the favorite habitats of cockroaches.

  • with a sticky substance inside;
  • with insecticide;
  • traps that kill insects with electrical discharges.
  • It should be borne in mind that if cockroaches have access to water, then all measures for their destruction will be ineffective. In part, when treating the apartment with insecticides or laying poison in the corners, it is worth blocking the insects' access to moisture by wiping the sinks dry and making sure that the pipes in the apartment do not leak. Only in this case it will be possible to achieve good results in the fight against insects.

    Vinegar

    If bugs appear, they are difficult to kill. Not everyone has the budget to hire a professional pest control expert. In addition, many people use chemical insecticides with caution in their homes, near children and pets. Vinegar, on the other hand, can kill bed bugs on contact - provided it is strong enough. However, this is unlikely to wipe out the entire infection on its own.

    When sprayed directly on them, the vinegar solution will work to kill bed bugs because the powerful acetic acid damages the bed bug's nervous system.

    This natural treatment is safe for use in homes with young children and pets, but is not effective enough to eradicate the infestation. Instead, it should be used as a way to kill any bed bugs that have survived a powerful treatment approach such as heat treatment.

    Way of eating

    All representatives of arachnids are distinguished by an extraintestinal type of nutrition. The respective instruments of the individuals are adapted to accept liquid food. When the prey enters the net, the spider first injects its poison into it and waits until it stops twitching in convulsions.

    Then the predator pumps the prey with digestive juice through the tubes. The acid contained in it dissolves the insides of the prey, and only then does the spider start eating. Sometimes the predator alternates the absorption of soft tissues with the injection of digestive juice. As a result, the victim turns into a kind of mummy.

    In the case of cockroaches and other insects, whose chitinous cover is quite tough, the spider tries to find an articulation and pierces the vulnerable area with chelicerae. Typically, this is between the head and chest. After the injection of juice, the wound expands, giving full access to the victim.

    Quartz

    A quartz lamp is well suited for combating pathogenic microorganisms - bacteria, fungi, protozoa - as well as viruses in the air or on various surfaces. Ultraviolet radiation damages their DNA molecules and leads to their rapid death.

    The lamp does not act so actively on bedbugs, they are more resistant to the action of ultraviolet radiation due to the fact that only cells of the outer integument that have protective mechanisms are exposed to them. With too long and intense irradiation, they may develop burns, but for death they need a long exposure, for example, continuously and directly illuminate the insect for several days. But the bugs sit in the cracks, the quartz lamp poses no threat to them.

    Caribena versicolor

    The homeland of the spider is the island of Martinique in the Caribbean. The leg span of the predator is about 17 cm, and the length of the body does not exceed 6 cm. The young growth boasts an expressive bright blue color, diluted with light stripes on the abdomen.

    Adults have thick hair with a reddish or greenish tint. The tactile sensation of contact with a spider can be compared to stroking a cat. The predator does not show aggression towards a person and can attack only in case of emergency, when he is accidentally stepped on or cornered.

    The toxicity of the spider does not pose a danger to adults, so it is a frequent visitor to home terrariums. He will gladly eat cockroaches, crickets and even frogs. Males of this species live on the strength of 3 years, and females about 8 years.

    What do bedbugs like?

    Nocturnal parasites love cozy warm places where there is little light. They are attracted by human blood and carbon dioxide. It is through this gas that they find a person.

    It turns out that bedbugs love to travel. They are able to follow a person in his clothes or things. Having drunk blood 1 time in 7 days, the parasite will try to lie down in things, because the temperature of the human body is too high for it. But then the parasite will find its host again. According to the latest scientific evidence, bugs love synthetic fabric. They give preference to synthetic upholstery of furniture, clothes, things.

    Also, insect experts claim that bugs love bean leaves. Even special traps are being developed that mimic the villi of the leaves of this plant to attract parasites. After bedbugs fall into traps, they will be burned along with the pests.

    How to trap?

    Traps are another method of getting rid of domestic parasites. You need to lure insects into them, knowing their preferences. For example, bed bugs love to nest in tight, dark places. Corrugated cardboard is excellent for this. If it is in the apartment, then the night parasites will definitely make their own refuge out of it. It is necessary to specially bring such cardboard, leave it next to the sleeping place as a trap, throw it away after 2 - 3 days, and it is better to burn it.

    Bed bugs find a sleeping person by the carbon dioxide they breathe out. There are special traps that are based on this weakness of the parasites. They are very effective.

    The device consists of a kind of vessel with liquid. It evaporates and falls on the surface in the form of a dome. The gas attracts parasites but does not kill. They get stuck in a trap. In the morning they are flushed in the toilet. To improve performance, you can add a piece of tissue soaked in human sweat to the device. The device is expensive as it is produced abroad. This is the only "minus" of the device.

    Traps are currently being created that will mimic the odors produced by bed bugs when navigating in space. This will help attract parasites into the traps.

    Using traps to combat parasites at night is not the most effective method. It does not work against eggs, that is, it will be necessary to use devices for a long time. Making traps specifically for bed bugs is difficult. It is easy to find a bait to attract other domestic parasites. It will be bread, sweet water or cheese. Bedbugs will only be interested in human blood, they are not very willing to use all other baits.

    Peaceful coexistence

    Cockroaches calmly coexist with bedbugs, since they have nothing to share: pests have different spheres of influence. Some terrorize people by sucking blood out of them, others eat the remains of human food.

    Cockroaches are not natural enemies of bedbugs and do not eat them, but if they lack the food they are used to, they may well feast on bedbug eggs.

    Only one factor can play against bedbugs - a shortage of cockroach food. Only then will longhorns start looking for bedbug nests to eat their eggs.

    Bed bugs are more likely to be opposed by their relatives from the family of predators; Pharaoh ants, centipedes and spiders are also considered natural enemies of parasites.

    Mustard

    Mustard seeds work wonderfully in the early stages of driving out bedbugs; against bedbugs. They can be purchased at flower shops and gardening markets. Pour the seeds into a saucepan, pour hot, but not boiling water. Insist for 20-30 minutes. Pour into a sprayer, then spray in places where bed bugs have appeared.

    Your victory will depend on your thoroughness. The stronger the mustard concentrate, the worse it will be for uninvited guests. After that, half a year of a quiet life is guaranteed to you.
