What do flowers "speak" about and how to choose the right bouquet? Infographics

It is difficult to find a woman who would not like fresh flowers. Each of them has its own preferences among this variegated and fragrant variety. But the rose is given an honorable royal place. This demanding beauty firmly occupies a leading position among the flowers that every girl and woman dreams of getting. A rose is a universally recognized symbol of love, but not everyone knows that its color is of great importance and can tell a lot.

The tradition of giving roses in an odd quantity

The tradition of giving roses in odd quantities also comes from antiquity. As it is now, it was once very important. Previously, it was considered unacceptable to give an even number of flowers in a bouquet, since, according to legends, this could bring trouble on a person. Such a bouquet carried negative energy, could tell about the donor's ignorance and was considered a sign of bad taste.

Let's see what an odd number of roses in a bouquet means:

  • one rose is given to communicate their attention;
  • three roses mean respect;
  • five roses symbolize recognition in ardent feelings;
  • seven roses speak of love;
  • nine flowers are presented as a sign of a truce and renewed cooperation;
  • a bouquet of eleven flowers is presented to friends and business partners, despite the significance of the color of the rose;
  • thirteen flowers can be presented as a sign of breaking off any relationship;
  • fifteen roses will tell you about deep and devoted love.

The meaning of the color of roses

Features of drawing up a wedding bouquet

First of all, the number of buds in the bride's bouquet should be odd, even if the girl does not believe in bad omens. Do not make the composition too bulky and heavy, as it will be inconvenient to photograph with it.

The optimal number of buds is from five to thirteen. Flowers should be medium in size and match the bride's dress. As a rule, the boutonniere in the groom's suit pocket should also be in harmony with the wedding bouquet.

Calm cream tones should be preferred when it comes to the color of the petals. Do not choose too bright shades, as this will distract everyone's attention from the bride's outfit and look ridiculous. The dress and the bouquet should be in harmony and complement each other.

Roses in Ancient Greece

According to historians, the rose has been cultivated as a cultivated plant for the past five thousand years. Initially, the color palette of these amazing colors was not so diverse. One could find only white, red and pink roses. The very first mentions of roses date back to the third century BC.

For the inhabitants of Greece, the rosebud has always been a symbol of infinity, and the color of the roses and their meaning were not so important. The round outlines of the inflorescence seemed to hint to them about the absence of a beginning and an end in the spiritual world. The petals of the bud are twisted so tightly that they are not easy to unfold. After the rose has opened, showing itself in all its glory and enveloping everything around with an excellent aroma, its petals begin to gradually fade and lose their original beauty.

The meaning of the color of roses
The inhabitants of Ancient Greece noticed that the captivating, unique, fleeting existence of the rose is as short as the life of a person. The Greeks considered the rose to be a divine gift. The ancient Greek poetess Sappho first called the rose the queen of flowers.This happened around 600 BC. e., but the rose today continues to be the leader among the rest of the flora.

How to neutralize the meaning of a bad omen

However, not everything is so simple, because the language of flowers is diverse and allows different interpretations of the same symbols:

  • Two roses presented to a young girl foreshadow an engagement or wedding.
  • 10 are given to show their admiration.
  • 12 is allowed to bring with you on your first date or any anniversary.
  • 36 pieces will not only cost the donor a tidy sum, but also signify his ardent wishes for you happiness and fun.
  • And it is always appropriate to present to the hero of the day or the hero of the day as many copies as they are. It doesn't matter if it's 15 or 50.

Many connoisseurs will agree that the number of flowers in a bouquet matters only until their number exceeds 10. After this signed number, the omen itself is canceled and ceases to act. Please tell me, what woman would think of being offended when she received 100 scarlet roses as a gift? And 1000? And, as the song says, a million ?!

In extreme cases, you can simply pull out the extra even one from the armful and make yourself a boutonniere out of it. Everyone is happy and you look great.

A thorn that foretold disappointments and quarrels should be broken off immediately and thrown into a vase where a flower stands. Consider that you "got even" with him on the spot: he sent you a lump of negativity in the form of a bad prediction, and you "kicked" him back. And each stayed with his own.

By and large, it is not so much the color and quantity that matters, but the emotional mood of the person who gave you the bouquet. Flowers presented with sincere love will always bring with them a charge of good emotions. But in the hands of a spiteful critic, a luxurious bouquet of 101 scarlet roses will not get anything good. With signs, if there is a desire, check, but trust your heart more. It will tell you for what purpose this or that flower was presented.

Rose in biblical legends

According to one Christian legend, the rose originally had no thorns. The flower symbolized unconditional and mutual love at first sight. It was considered the best decoration of the Garden of Eden until the fall of Adam and Eve. After the first people were expelled by God from paradise for disobedience, sharp thorns grew on the rose. Now these thorns should remind people of sin and its consequences for the human soul.

If a person wants to say that he is one with the hero of the occasion, then he is advised to pay special attention to the meaning of the color of roses. White flowers must be combined with red flowers in one bouquet.

The color of roses and their meaning
White is considered universal in both Western and Eastern cultures. Snow-white flowers can be used for absolutely any occasion. They will easily fit into even the most unusual floral arrangement, carefully diluting it and placing accents. It is white roses that are most often used in wedding decor as a symbol of a happy life and creating a new family.

What flowers are suitable for loved ones, acquaintances and colleagues?

  • Flowers for a girl: lily of the valley, lavender, orchid, red rose.

Pink roses

Pink roses are usually given at the very beginning of a love relationship. Romantic natures often try to find out in advance the meaning of the color of a rose - on the first date it is so pleasant to surprise your darling with delicate pink fragrant flowers! These representatives of the flower world are the best hints about the incipient feeling and affection, which in the future can turn into a burning passion that sweeps away everything.

Noble, eloquent flowers, especially with unopened buds, will tell you about sympathy for you. Their pleasant color is associated with admiration and tenderness. Florists believe that they choose pink roses, as a rule, people are polite, tactful, kind and courteous.

If the flower has dried or sprouted

It's a pity, but every bouquet is destined to go to the trash can sooner or later. Only a few roses, for some reason attracted to their owners, avoid this sad fate. However, with such flowers you need to keep your ears open!

And a bad sign, and gathers dust immeasurably

It is no secret that the fair sex is sometimes distinguished by increased sentimentality. What can you do, this is the nature of a woman's heart! We are tempted to hide a napkin from the cafe where the first date took place; a ticket from a movie show marked with a passionate kiss; a trifling keychain won by a loved one at some stupid street lottery at the very beginning of the novel ... There is nothing to say about flowers. Almost every second girl keeps a dried rose, especially dear to her heart, and some even manage to "mummify" whole wedding bouquets! Should we follow their example and attach such great importance to the "herbarium"?

From the standpoint of esotericism - in no case!

  1. Positive, lively energy is spread around only fresh ones. As soon as the petals dry up and darken, it turns into dead and instead of waves of goodness and happiness, the flower begins to spread negative around itself. Is this how you need to keep a personal source of bad mood in your home?
  2. Women in the old days strictly forbade their daughters to dry flowers received from a loved one, motivating this by the fact that the guy's feelings will dry up along with the petals.

But if a rose standing in a vase unexpectedly sprouted, do not be afraid to transplant it and try to grow it.You know, a very good message came to you with this bouquet, even if a flower doomed to wither rose and gave rise to a new life!

The tradition of sprinkling pink petals on the floor in front of the newlyweds is one of the most romantic ... and most unloved omens! A huge number of fading petals of belief are called a real magnet for all kinds of misfortunes. True, I must say that these signs rarely justify themselves. Apparently, a lot of positive emotions inherent in wedding day extinguish bad predictions.

Would you like a seagull with romance?

But a few petals plucked from a beauty standing in a vase and thrown into a teapot with tea leaves is an excellent omen. Those who will drink tea with the original additive from time to time are promised longevity and health. One condition is that you cannot buy a flower yourself. It should be presented to you, and with the best intentions.

What the color of the presented roses will tell you about

It is believed that a house where fresh bouquets are not translated will always be full of prosperity, happiness and good luck. And if at the same time a man gives flowers to his beloved woman, they will endow the relationship with special harmony and protect the family from adversity.Even a lonely flower in a tall graceful vase "cleans" the room from negative energy and spreads a kind aura around itself. The main thing is not to miss the choice of color.

If white is given to newlyweds or a girl

White is the color of purity, spirituality of sublime love

  • A lonely white rose, presented by a young man to a girl, speaks of the elevation of feelings. The young man is ready to idolize his chosen one, carry on his hands and literally blow off dust particles from her.
  • A lush bouquet of whites, a gift received from a successful and self-confident man, is considered a sign of the groom's readiness for a serious relationship and an expression of deep, strong feelings coming from the very heart ...

When the man presented the yellow

Yellow roses are given by incorrigible optimists and adventure lovers
Contradictory sign. For many, this color is associated with anxiety, inner tension and distrust. Remember at least our brilliant, but very depressing classic Dostoevsky, who skillfully used dirty yellow shades in his descriptions of people and interiors to convey the hopeless atmosphere that surrounded his heroes. However, yellow is also warm sunlight; and the glint of gold promising a comfortable life; the color of fluffy dandelions, a symbol of joy and summer ... Maybe you shouldn't be afraid of him?

  • It is better not to give yellow roses to insecure and suspicious people. Too stubbornly popular rumor calls these flowers a sign of separation, betrayal and gossip curling around a person.
  • If a bouquet of disturbing color was presented to you, do not rush to get upset. Perhaps the donor did not even know about the existence of an omen! But he is certainly an open and cheerful person, ready for bold experiments. Choosing them as a gift speaks of his freedom from complexes and conventions, and also - from the point of view of psychology - of an inner desire to take care of you.
  • It is not worthwhile to immediately ascribe the affair to her husband, who showed up home with a bouquet of a "suspicious" shade. For married couples, it serves as a symbol of an accomplished marriage, in which the two halves have long and firmly got used to each other, having learned to live in peace and harmony.
  • In the language of flowers, popular in the days of Catherine II, flower heads of a catchy sunny shade mean a proposal to "bury the ax of war" and start a relationship from scratch.
  • It is also customary to present yellow bouquets to the winners in order to emphasize the importance of their merits and achievements.

Orange roses in the language of flowers mean the highest degree of recognition, fiery feelings and inexhaustible enthusiasm. Such flowers give the subject of their own pride.

What do red, scarlet and burgundy mean, are they allowed at a wedding

It is better not to give red roses to the bride

  • Only a red bud that begins to open gives out a heartfelt inclination, which a person is not ready to admit. But if you receive a rose with two buds as a gift, consider that a compliment has been paid to your mystery and charm.
  • One red one is not only stylish, but also a gift desirable for a woman's heart, as it is equivalent to three simple words "I love you."
  • A bouquet of three is traditionally presented to the wife by the husband, emphasizing the warmth, harmony and crystal purity of family relationships.
  • Five - a proposal to take easy, non-binding courtship to a new level.
  • Seven - recognition "I am burning with passion."
  • Ebullient passion also means burgundy, so it is considered indecent to give it to a very young girl. However, for those who are well versed in the intricacies of the language of flowers, this is a way of saying "You yourself do not know the full power of your charm."
  • The pink color symbolizes incipient feelings, closeness, trust. it would be appropriate to present a bouquet of delicate color to a loved one, parents, and best friend. But for a gift to an outsider, but a respected hero of the day - say, your child's teacher - it is better to choose dark flowers.

Red roses are not advised to give to newlyweds for a wedding: there is a persistent belief that after such a gift the marriage will not work out and will soon crack.

The rare black roses that can sometimes be found in flower shops are not a gift for the faint of heart. Only a goth girl or a real original can appreciate it! A bit of history

Modern garden varieties of the "queen of flowers", which have a warm pinkish-yellow color, inherited it from their distant "great-great-grandmother" - the Chinese rose. In the distant past, it was she who became the ancestor of the once famous tea roses, fragrant and unusually beautifully blooming.
As soon as the "Chinese women" first came to Europe, plant lovers were immediately conquered by the play of pink, cream and yellow tones in the color of their flowers. The decorative virtues and the ability to constantly bloom fascinated the Europeans so much that they were ready to put up with even the main drawback of tea roses, which was closely related to their origin: the "child of the East" could not stand even light frosts. The thermophilic varieties of this group were later almost completely forgotten, but they served as the source material for the creation of more hardy hybrids.

Agrotechnical measures and care

Each of the varieties of roses has its own advantages and disadvantages. In addition, the culture is distinguished by special planting and care rules. You can get a colorful, fragrant crop of flowers, provided you follow the growing recommendations, which do not require much effort. Let's consider the main ones related to specific species.

  • Miniature roses can be planted outdoors, in pots or containers. They tolerate frequent transplants very well. Flowering occurs three times a year. Small bushes are overgrown with bright orange buds. Plants growing in beds in winter need special shelter.But it is also allowed to grow at home or on balconies.

  • When planting hybrid tea species, most of the buds should be removed to build a powerful root system. It is better to plant flowers away from trees, whose foliage will block access to light. Some varieties of roses are not resistant to diseases, so timely processing is important. With the onset of the first cold weather, the beds should be earthed, covered with spruce branches.
  • Floribunda needs a dry, well-lit area. You should choose the soil without the occurrence of nearby groundwater. The first pruning occurs in early autumn - it involves shortening thin or diseased branches. The second procedure is carried out in the fall - here they get rid of old shoots. Care involves moderate watering, winter shelter.

The rose is best planted in spring or fall. Residents of the northern regions are advised to focus on the spring season, since the first frosts begin closer to October, which will lead to the death of young seedlings or will not allow them to take root at all.

Planting material should be purchased in specialized garden / summer cottages or from trusted professional gardeners. It is preferable to choose seedlings in plastic containers - such samples are distinguished by their quick survival in the ground. Open options should be carefully examined - there should be no rot or stains on the roots. Any damage indicates improper storage or transportation conditions. Such goods should be discarded. A suitable method of disembarkation is the transshipment of an earthen clod. After about two weeks, young roots begin to form in the soil, turning into a whole living system, from which a lush bush subsequently forms.

As for care, it includes spring, summer, autumn works. So, in the last days of March, orange roses should be freed from winter shelter. In case of cold weather, the procedure is postponed for a month. Do not forget about preventive work against harmful insects and plant diseases. An important care procedure is pruning, weeding, loosening the soil. Rose bushes need a support that supports and also protects the branches. Wooden sticks are set in the ground, to which roses are tied.

Summer is the time of the first flowering. Experienced gardeners recommend reprocessing the plant against disease. It will be useful to get rid of withered buds. Mandatory procedures during this period are watering, weeding, loosening the soil.

After flowering is complete, fertilization is necessary. If there are diseased shoots on the branches, remove them.

Preparation for wintering begins in the fall. At this time, there is no need for feeding, but you need to remove a third of the leaves - especially at the base of the bush. With the arrival of the first frost, sanitary pruning is carried out. In the last days of October, you should take care of the shelter - the plants should be well insulated for the winter. Experts advise, after the first snowfall, to compact the place near the bushes with snow - this way you will save the culture from rodents.

Orange roses are a real decoration of any local area. Despite the uniqueness of the color and smell of the flower, planting material can be easily found in specialized stores. All roses, without exception, need proper planting and subsequent care. According to experienced gardeners, you should not overfeed the plant with mineral or organic fertilizers - it is important to know when to stop. Only by following all the rules of agricultural technology, you can observe lush bushes with bright orange buds in the garden, which emit a pleasant light aroma.

You will learn how to properly prune roses in the following video.

One and only

So far, only one single orange-colored rose bears the loud title "Favorite Rose of the World." In 1994 he was awarded the ‘Just Joey’ (1973) variety from the English nursery Kant. Copper-orange flowers with dark veins, slightly wavy petals, a strong, typical pink scent, plus long flowering and weather resistance - the sum of advantages that only a rare amateur can withstand.Unfortunately, in most regions of Russia, this variety still should not be used when creating rose gardens, but it can be kept as a collector's item.

What is the meaning of unusual colors?

Blue roses are quite often mentioned in various literary sources as a symbol of an unattainable ideal in any way - this is a reference to the fact that they do not exist in nature, and previously a person had to spend a lot of effort to even get closer to perfection. Of course, there are genetically modified flowers on sale today that have a lilac hue. These are not blue roses, but even such flowers are quite popular and are often used to create bouquets and compositions.

In many cultures, blue roses are associated with royal blood, which was considered to be blue - hence another meaning of unusual buds, symbolizing royal splendor, beauty and a kind of divinity that is inherent in people who rule over entire states.

Today, you can give blue roses to anyone and whenever you want - they do not have a strictly defined meaning. A bouquet of blue roses gives its owner the opportunity to fulfill his most intimate desires - this is what representatives of some peoples believe. If you want someone important to you to appreciate your gift, it is better to purchase blue roses and make an original and bright composition from them yourself.

Who can you give it to?

What do blue roses mean, a gift from which will be remembered for a long time? It all depends on who you plan to give flowers to. First of all, it is a good present for the beloved. A composition of these flowers will certainly symbolize mystery and inviolability, and the gift itself is appreciated as it should!

It is worth remembering that it is appropriate to give blue roses not only to the beloved. You can make an unusual gift for a loved one, as well as for a person to whom you have respectful feelings. You can give blue roses for any reason - for a birthday, Valentine's Day and even for the new year - it all depends on when exactly you want to please the person who is of great importance to you.

It is well known that there is no physical object called "blue rose" in nature .. :) But in the cultural space, in art, design and in the symbolism of blue roses, there are just whole plantations already .. :) It is difficult to say when exactly this began, because on the language of flowers was communicated in antiquity, not to mention romanticism or the Victorian era. And in all countries, at all times, roses have adorned the interiors and gardens of both ordinary people and kings. Today half of the world speaks the language of manga and anime - and there the theme of roses pops up wherever it is about feelings ...)

And especially when it comes to feelings that are undivided or impossible in principle - roses with blue blood have already formed a magnificent rose garden .. :) These fantastic aristocrats gathered in my whole bouquet, or a "wreath" of pictures .. :), which I will gladly share, and at the same time I will tell you a few stories about blue roses and roses in general .. :)

Based on materials from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Literature At one time, Rudyard Kipling wrote a poem about a romantic lover who gave his beloved beautiful roses - red and white. But the girl - probably in accordance with the fashion trends of the era - asked me to find a blue rose for her. Naturally, having gone around the whole world, he could not find anything like that, and when he returned, he found out that the girl was no longer among the living .. The moral here can be displayed all different, but the fact is that the blue rose is recognized as an unattainable phenomenon ..

"Blue roses" Red roses and white roses For my beloved, I brought. But she doesn’t like a lush bunch - she suddenly asks for a blue rose.

I went around the whole world, After all, there is no such miracle. This is a feat, and great, But they laughed at me.

Here is winter - barely reached ... My fool is dead. She will not be able to smell the Roses that Death gives.

Behind the grave, in the distance. Maybe blue in my hand.My vow was in vain - there are no Reds, whites better.

(From the novel "The Light Is Out")

I personally really like Lewis Carroll, who made his Alice repaint white roses in red - how many semantic levels you can "wind up" here! .. :)))

And in the twenty-first century, anime people took up Alice, and as a result, blue roses appeared in Alice and other immortal characters from her company .. :)

My favorite Mad Hatter is this one .. :)

And on the teapot there are also roses in my opinion .. :)

There was also Novalis's unfinished novel, Heinrich von Ofterdingen, which begins with the protagonist's dreams of a blue flower. This was the impetus for the subsequent use of this symbol in Europe, although it does not say that the blue flower is a rose: “The work is based on the legend of the famous minnesinger of the 13th century. Heinrich von Ofterdingen. The external event canvas is only a necessary material shell for depicting the deep inner process of becoming a poet and for Henry's comprehension of the life ideal, allegorically depicted by Novalis in the guise of a “blue flower”. The main semantic load is borne by Henry's dreams, parables, fairy tales and myths told to him.

The novel is in two parts. The first, complete, is called Waiting. Twenty-year-old Henry, the chaplain's apprentice, has a dream that he wanders through a dark forest, goes to the mountains and finds a blue flower of indescribable beauty in a cave. The blue flower is a symbol of German romantic poetry, in other words, pure poetry and perfect life. He cannot watch his dream to the end, because his mother comes into his room and wakes him up.

The second part of the novel (Novalis did not have time to finish it) is called "Accomplishment". He did not have time to formalize his idea that everything in the world: nature, history, war, everyday life - everything turns into poetry, since it is the spirit that revives everything in nature, and Henry finally had to wake up the “blue flower "from your dream."

Tennessee Williams' "Glass Menagerie" details the life of a heroine suffering from pleurisy as a teenager. When a former classmate tells her that he interpreted the words as “blue roses”, it becomes his pseudonym for her: “Laura, still a schoolgirl, was in love with Jim, who was always in the center of everyone's attention - he shone in basketball, ran a discussion club , sang in school productions. For Laura to see this prince of her girlish dreams again is a real shock. Shaking his hand, she almost faints and quickly disappears into her room ... The young man does not recognize Laura, and she herself has to reveal to him that they have known each other for a long time. Jim has a hard time remembering the girl he nicknamed the Blue Rose at school ... "

Further, the contents of the book - and the film of the same name - here, or look for the original works of Tennessee Williams ...

In the books of the "Saga of Ice and Fire" series by John Martin, blue roses - or, as they were also called, "winter roses" - became a symbol of Lyanna Stark and the love of Prince Raegar for her, who was married ... Again - completely impossible, from the point view of morality, love ... And it all ended in war and revenge - blue roses can be completely unhappy ... :(

Films Blue Roses are important elements in David Lynch's allegorical film "Twin Peaks", although their meaning is not always clear ... (Yeah, I remember this series - everyone watched and argued, what was incomprehensible here? Although no one understood anything more than others .. :)) I just don't remember what about blue roses .. :) - DW)

One version of Beauty and the Beast also shows the Beast giving Belle a blue rose when he returns to human form.

Blue Roses also appear in I Know Who Killed Me opposite Lindsay Lohan.

Her boyfriend gives her a bouquet of blue roses.

The blue color generally creates a mystical mood well ...

In the old film The Thief of Baghdad (1940), the blue flower is presented as the "Blue Rose of Oblivion."

In the Japanese film Kamen Rider Kabuto: God Speed Love, the Caucasian golden rider is often seen with one blue rose used as a weapon.

Television There is a blue rose in the name of the hotel on TV series - in Supernatural episode 2.10, and even Marge Simpson ordered blue roses for her fourth wedding .. :))

Graphic Design Uses Blue roses have adorned printed fabrics and ceramics since the 1700s, when blue patterns under a layer of glaze were a common decoration. In the late 1960s Wedgwood produced a collection of porcelain decorated with blue roses, the so-called Ice Rose design.

Since the 1970s, the blue rose has predominantly adorned bedding, underwear, printed flannel, tablecloths, headscarves, handkerchiefs, tapestries, wrapping paper, and has far outstripped more natural-colored roses as a popular design motif.

And also it all looks good right on the body .. :)) We will not remember about prison symbols, I hope this is the hand of just a beauty admirer .. :) This prison tattoo depicts a rose with thorns, which is applied by lesbians. It is applied only to the thigh.

But all this is just garbage, childish babble, compared to the blossoming of blue roses in the anime era !!! .. :)))

Hooray, finally I will show my favorite pictures! Because all these arts and prints came from the East, just as at the beginning of the twentieth century Europe was "mellow" from the Japanese motifs in modernity, the beginning of the twenty-first century also takes place under the expansion of the East, including everything Japanese and Chinese. I am not talking now about the manufacturers of Thai plastic, which conquered the Soviet market .. :), but about art, drawing, design and other beauty that cannot be taken away from Asia.

So, in anime, it is believed that the blue rose first appeared in BLOOD +. This is a mystical story about a girl who has the power to fight monsters.

But of course, it was not without feelings and secrets - and the blue rose began to denote precisely a difficult or impossible relationship, as well as a secret ... Blue roses are "tears of the soul" when it comes to feelings between the characters, according to the plot, in general, it is not connected, but these feelings can be seen in the works of fans who apparently really want a different, happier fate and a stronger connection for the characters of their beloved anime.

There is a well-known love for roses of all kinds of ghosts, such as the Phantom of the Opera ..

But in "BLOOD +" the rose was still blue, which added mystery ...

And the creators of vampire anime - as well as art based on their motives - are well aware of this and use it to visualize those "offscreen" connections that the viewer only guesses about ... It's like a code that is very exciting to guess if you have eyes to see , sure…)

From vampires, blue roses migrated into the clothes of Gothic fans in general - little Gothic Lolitas and princesses decorate their wrists, necks and belts with blue roses ... Oh, my heart just breaks with sadness, you look at them .. :)

And now blue roses have bloomed in lush bushes on the fertile soil of all kinds of fan art ...

This is where the uttermost fantasy mayhem! .. :)) But the language of flowers - and colors - is now alive again! .. :)

At least for those who want to speak this language, and there are more and more of them, given that it is now easy and simple to draw and show your works for your favorite subjects using the Internet. Looking at all this splendor, I myself begin to nervously twirl a pencil in my fingers .. :)) What can we say about those who have already mastered new drawing techniques on a computer and 3D graphics ..

In the end, if we put all the hints and symbols aside - a blue rose just always looks good in graphics, especially in a good color combination, for example, with red ... This is my favorite, by the way ... :) If you do not delve into the details of the plot and intention - you can just admire the contrasting colors, both become stronger at the same time ...

But, perhaps, the rest of the secrets - solve it yourself if you liked it .. :) For example, what can a combination of blue and black roses mean? Oooh, this is probably something very dramatic ... :)

... because a black rose is an emblem of sadness, we know that .. :)

The main thing is shhh, keep all the clues a secret, I didn't tell you anything !!! ... :)))

SUB ROSE… :)))

Since the Victorian era, people have used flowers instead of words to express emotions. In a bouquet, everything matters: variety, quantity and size. But a special meaning is given to the shade of the buds. Flowers of unusual color excite the imagination more than traditional representatives of the flora. After vain attempts to grow roses with blue petals, florists have learned to dye flowers in the desired shade using a dye.

Amazing blue roses are obtained from by adding a special dye to the water for flowers. And you can achieve any tone: from pale blue to deep blue. These shades have different meanings. For example, a lilac undertone informs about the emergence of first love, expresses charm and admiration. Dark purple shades suit the face of red-haired beauties. Mysterious and extraordinary blue roses are given to inaccessible and mysterious personalities to emphasize their uniqueness.

Pests

During the development of buds and leaves, pests appear in the plant, spoiling the formation of flowers and the appearance of plants. The pests of the "queen of flowers" include:

  • caterpillars of the rose sawfly, sucking juice from the leaves, disrupting the nutritional metabolism of the plant;
  • pink aphids and ants are often nearby, and if an anthill was seen near the flower garden, it must be removed, since these insects hunt aphids and are located nearby;
  • the slobbering penny poisons the roses with foam and draws the sap of the plants, hiding, as a rule, under the leaves;
  • leaf rollers, appear at the beginning of the ripening of the shoots and can be during the summer.

The methods of control are different and depend on the pest: leaf rollers are collected by hand, as well as the slobbering penny. Contact insecticides are used against aphids and ants. Pesticides or hand picking are used against caterpillars with daily check of bushes.

What kind of care is required

If you provide your green caprice with competent care, it can delight you with abundant flowering until the frost itself. For this you need:

  1. Water the plant regularly and abundantly. Too frequent watering is of no use to him, since excess moisture will provoke rotting of the roots and the death of the bush. In this case, you need to focus on weather conditions and the condition of the soil in the near-barrel circle. It is important that there is no stagnant water in it.
  2. After each watering, when the moisture has been absorbed, be sure to loosen the soil around the bush. This procedure will improve the aeration of the root system. And also weed the flower bed in a timely manner, because these are true friends of aphids and other pests.
  3. Feed the roses every 14 days. This is done for the first time 2 weeks after planting. Both organic substances that contribute to the growth of green biomass (relevant in spring) and mineral complexes aimed at supporting abundant flowering and the development of winter-hardy qualities (recommended in the summer-autumn period) should be used.
  4. Inspect the crop regularly for signs of disease or pest activity.
  5. Prune the bushes annually, removing old, frozen and diseased branches. In addition to sanitary, carry out a formative haircut, clearing the plant of unnecessary, competing shoots. In thickened versions, fungal diseases are inevitable.
  6. Prepare roses for the cold in time. To do this, many use peat and humus mulch with a layer of 10 cm as a shelter. In regions with especially severe winters, you can cover the bush with a wooden structure. If necessary, insulate it from the inside with foam.
  7. With the onset of spring, at the first manifestations of heat, remove the shelter, because in the heat the roots can overheat. It is important to take into account the climatic characteristics of your region.Indeed, when it is 0-5 ° C outside, and the rose is under a wooden cap and a layer of peat mulch, it will not survive. Therefore, you need to approach insulation wisely and remember that these plants require periodic ventilation.
  8. Every spring, after removing the shelter, be sure to disinfect the bushes with a solution of copper sulfate.

Reproduction and grafting

Growing flowers from cuttings is not an easy task for a novice grower. If you understand the intricacies of this process, then landing will not be difficult.

There are several ways to propagate green roses:

  1. Seeds... This is the simplest option, in which the seeds are taken from the fruit or bought at the store. To test for germination, they are soaked in hydrogen peroxide for one day. The seeds are placed in the soil and wait for it to hatch. This process will take from one and a half to two months. Sowing is recommended in April.
  2. Vegetative propagation... This method is based on the ability of plants to divide cells. This means that the rose is able to regenerate its body from the stem, root or leaf. There are several methods called layering, cuttings, dividing the bush, or grafting.
  3. By dividing the bush... A part of the plant with the root is separated from the main bush and transplanted to the chosen place. After the planting process, abundant watering and hilling are performed.
  4. Reproduction by grafting.

Propagation by layers and suckers is the least suitable for green roses. Experts recommend grafting. This breeding method increases the plant's chance of survival.

For cuttings, you will need bushes that have grown throughout the season in greenhouse conditions. If last year's shoots are used for planting, then a special storage regime is observed (in peat in a room with low temperatures).

Planting is carried out in the spring. The stem is cut under the lower leaf of the cutting, as well as above the upper bud. Above, leave a couple of leaves, which in the future will perform the function of photosynthesis and allow the root system to develop in the ground.

The sizes of the cuttings are selected based on the recommendations of experts, that is, from 15 to 17 centimeters. It is desirable that the stalk has at least three buds on the trunk.

It is important to remember that the cuttings are hardened into the ground at a slight slope. This can be planting on a separate bed or using a container filled with peat mixture. For planted cuttings, you need a reliable shelter that creates a greenhouse effect. This task can be dealt with by using a plastic bottle worn on top.

It is removed before the first roots appear (they will appear half a month after landing in the ground). After one month, the plant can be dug up and planted in a permanent place for further development.

Planting and caring for a rose is hard work. However, with quality care, the plant can take root and delight with its beauty. You do not need to give up growing this shrub, just because it is whimsical to care and temperature indicators. Perhaps the shrub will grow and bear fruit, which will delight the owner of the house and his family with a wonderful flowering and cut bouquet.

Accommodation rules

A beautiful rose garden can be planted on the territory of a private house or summer cottage.

According to designers and decorators, roses are the most popular decoration not only for a festive event or ceremony, but also for a home area, with which they are ideally combined, for example, a pool, a fountain, and various sculptures.

Accommodation Specialist Tips:

  • a short-cut green lawn looks good with orange buds - this design combines classic with modernity;
  • an orange rose stands out against the background of colors of cold shades;

  • climbing varieties are recommended to be placed on fences, walls, gates, wickets;
  • if you are installing sculpture or stones, choose neutral colors against which the fire buds will look favorably.

Landing

Growing this unique but finicky flower will require a lot of work, knowledge and skills. First of all, the quality of the seedlings plays an important role, therefore it is advisable to purchase them in nurseries and not subject them to long transportation and storage. This will negatively affect the survival rate of rose bushes. It is recommended to choose seedlings of zoned varieties, otherwise the heat-loving plant will die. Preference should be given to seedlings with strong and living roots, without signs of disease, damage, decay.

The choice of the landing site is also important. This rose loves the abundance of the sun's warmth. Does not tolerate through winds and grows poorly in low-lying cool and humid areas. A sunny, preferably southern section, closed from the north wind, is perfect.

For good growth of a green rose, a loose, slightly acidic fertile soil is recommended. Sand should be added to clay soil, and garden soil and organic matter in equal amounts to sandy soil. In any type of soil, humus (humus) and compost must be introduced in advance. It is also useful to add superphosphate, nitrophoska, ash or complex fertilizers. In the regions of the middle zone of our country, the best time for disembarkation is spring and early autumn. This is most often the second half of April until the end of May. An important condition must be observed - the earth must be warmed up to at least +12 degrees and warm weather must be established. For the southern regions, spring planting is not recommended, since the summer heat has a detrimental effect on young bushes.

In autumn, roses are planted from mid-September to early October. Such planting dates ensure that the bushes will take root and take root before frost, and the buds on the stems will not develop. Before the onset of cold weather, young pink seedlings need to be insulated with some covering material. Correct planting plays an important role in the subsequent development of the green rose.

It would seem that breeders no longer need to waste time on improving roses. Nature and man have contributed to the impeccability of the beauty and tenderness of these magnificent flowers. But nevertheless, modern floristic fashion dictated a new trend - the green color of the buds changed dark purple and black tones. Now the trend is tenderness and lightness.

Variety "Little Sunset" selection Kordes

In the foreground of flower beds, along the edge of flower beds, as well as on “flat” areas decorated with ground cover grasses, the miniature but surprisingly lush rose “Little Sunset” will reveal the richness of the orange palette as effectively as possible. An amazing number of medium-sized, but very graceful flowers in inflorescences, dense doubleness, neat structure only emphasize the beauty and density of the bush itself. This miniature superstar is characterized by beautiful foliage, an inner glow and the ability to play the role of a color spot. A bright warm orange with golden tints, the color in the center of the flower gently turns into a shining carmine tone of the petals of the outer circle, as if two different colors are fancifully merged at the will of the artist's hand. Due to this color transition, small flowers visually seem to be larger, and the bush itself is more voluminous.

Use in landscape design

Today, there are many options for creating a decorative rose garden on a personal plot using cream roses. "Royal" flowers can be placed in flowerpots, flower beds or form a hedge from them. In large summer cottages, vertical planting of roses looks beautiful.

In order for the flowers to harmoniously fit into the overall look of the design, only one variety must be used. In the event that you plan to make long flower beds, it is important to take into account the size of the bushes.

Since cream roses bloom all season long, their unusual color can be supplemented with annuals in other shades. Original compositions can be placed both along the garden paths, and near the hedge or near the house. Such flower beds also look interesting in recreation areas, but they must be decorated with natural stone.

Growing conditions

The green queen of the garden is distinguished not only by its unusual color, but also by whimsy. It is not so easy to grow her. Experts do not advise beginning flower growers to take on such a delicate matter, since such selection masterpieces require certain knowledge, experience and skills.

It is best to purchase the desired seedling, and not experiment with the cultivation of the flower you like. Experts recommend taking into account the distance between your site and the nursery, because long transportation will have a detrimental effect on the survival rate of a capricious plant.

When the desired specimen is at your home, find a good place for it. Indeed, the fate of an exclusive culture depends on the amount of sunlight, the impact of winds and soil enrichment. She prefers a lot of sun and warmth. It reacts painfully to drafts and low-lying areas, where cold and a lot of moisture always accumulate.

An ideal place for a green rose would be an area covered with ultraviolet light and protected from drafts, where northerly winds do not dominate. You can choose a south-facing area with a slight slope, where underground currents are located no closer than 1.5-2 meters to the earth's surface.

It's a bad idea to plant a bush on the site of a former rose garden. The fact is that such soil has already been depleted by previous crops. In addition, many microorganisms and insects live in it, which, most likely, will cause the death of new seedlings. If there is no other way out, be sure to replace the upper half-meter layer of the substrate in the flower garden.

It is best to choose a loose and fertile soil with a slightly acidic pH level. Before planting a seedling, it is important to prepare the site:

  1. Clay soil must be drained and diluted with river sand to increase looseness.
  2. Any substrate will benefit from nutrients in the form of humus and compost, which must be introduced in advance (if planting roses is planned in the spring, then preparatory work should be done in the fall). Also, a mixture of superphosphate, nitrophoska, wood ash and complex mineral fertilizers (Agricola) will not interfere.
  3. Sandy areas are developed by applying equal parts of garden soil and organic matter.
  4. On oxidized areas, it is advisable to scatter dolomite flour or lime fluff with the calculation of 150-300 g per square meter.
  5. In flower beds, where the optimal distance of groundwater is violated, experts recommend making drainage and pouring deciduous soil to the desired height.
