Ingredients:

  • Carrots - 1 kg.
  • Apples - 1 kg.
  • Granulated sugar - 50 gr.

Cooking process:

  1. Select ripe apples and carrots, remove any damaged areas, and remove the skin from the apples. Peel the carrots as well. Core the apples and cut all the ingredients into random pieces.
  2. Finely grate the carrots and apples, or use a food processor to turn the ingredients into an even gruel. Send the carrot and apple gruel to the juicer and get the juice. Perhaps the juice will give some sediment - this is normal.
  3. Pour the juice from the juicer into a saucepan, add sugar (you can slightly increase the amount) and place the saucepan with juice on the stove, turning on moderate heat.
  4. Heat the juice from carrots and apples for five or seven minutes, stirring and not letting the juice boil. Wash and sterilize seaming cans or bottles, and sterilize the caps.
  5. Distribute the prepared juice into prepared containers, place them in a saucepan, cover the bottom of which with a towel or napkin and pour warm water into it. Sterilize the juice cans for fifteen minutes after boiling the water in the pot, then quickly roll up the lids.

But flour and starchy dishes with carrot juice should not be combined.

Another popular preparation is apple and carrot juice.

  • 3 kg of apples;
  • 2 kg of carrots;
  • 200 gr. Sahara.

Wash the apples, cut them into quarters and cut the seed pods. We pass apples through a juicer. Pour the juice into a saucepan and leave to infuse. A dense layer of foam will rise to the surface of the liquid. Remove the foam with a spoon and transfer to another container. We filter the juice through 4-5 layers of gauze, squeeze out the sediment well. The result of the work should be a slightly cloudy juice without pulp in the amount of 1.5-1.7 liters.

Advice! The amount of sugar depends on how sweet your apples and carrots are. You may need to increase or decrease the amount. If necessary, you can add a little lemon juice or acid to the juice.

We peel the carrots, also pass them through a juicer. Strain the finished carrot juice through a sieve to obtain an almost transparent juice. Carrot juice from the specified amount of vegetables will be about a liter.

Carrot-peach juice for the winter

This juice does not require added sugar, as the peach itself provides enough sweetness. The proportions of juice can be changed to taste, but we give an average version, where the juice will be half peach and half carrot.

Ingredients:

  • Peaches - 1 kg.
  • Carrots - 1.5 kg.
  • Citric acid - 1 tsp

Cooking process:

  1. Use ripe juicy peaches and juicy young carrots. Wash the peaches and carrots thoroughly, remove the skin from the carrots. Disassemble the peaches in half and remove the seeds. Wash the jars and lids, then sterilize them well in the oven.

Canning methods

At home, you can prepare juice in two ways:

  • Hot filling. In this case, you need to heat the juice and boil it over low heat. After it is poured into the cans, you must immediately roll them up. The container must be turned over and left in this position and wait until it cools down.
  • Pasteurization.Harvesting carrot juice in this way involves heating it almost to a boil. After that, you need to pour the juice into jars and close the same lids. They are pasteurized for about 20 minutes at a temperature of 90 ° C. When the procedure is over, the covers must be rolled up tightly.

Preparing carrots

To make the juice tasty and healthy, you need to choose the right vegetables. They must be fresh, ripe, healthy and of good quality. If there are wormholes or cracks, then these carrots are not suitable for juice. Overripe fruits are also not suitable for making carrot juice.
