Caesar mushroom (Royal mushroom) - description and photos
The mushroom has an interesting shape and a bright top. The cap of the mushroom is 8 to 20 centimeters in diameter, in the early stages of ripening it is ovoid or semicircular, then becomes flat with velvet edges. The skin of the cap is bright yellow or light red, usually clean and dry. An overripe Caesar mushroom (royal mushroom or Caesar's fly agaric) has a yellowing, naked body, less often with large white remnants of a common veil. The flesh of the cap is fleshy and juicy, yellow, the leg is light, almost white, 8 to 12 centimeters high, 2-3 centimeters in diameter. The base of the royal mushroom is in the form of a yellow tuber, above the ring it is striped, has no foreign smells and tastes. The plates under the cap are golden yellow, convex, free, wide towards the edge, slightly fringed.
The bedspread is a ring at the base of the Caesar mushroom, wide in the form of a groove. The color of the coverlet is the same as that of the leg of the edible amanita, and it looks like an egg shell. Cesarean mushroom sizes can vary from 4 to 6 centimeters, thickness from 4 to 5 mm. The surface is white on the outside, but in section it can have a yellowish or orange tint. The spore powder is whitish, the spores are widely ellipsoidal, typical of this type of mushroom.

Growing methods
According to the description, the Caesar mushroom does not belong to those fertile bodies that are popular among those who like to grow mushrooms in their summer cottage, since the conditions for this should be close to those in which it grows in the forests. In addition, it takes more than one year to wait until Caesar's fly agaric grows. For the right environment, you need to have trees such as chestnuts, birches, oaks on the site, with mushrooms associated with their roots.
There are several ways to grow it. A sign that the planting has taken root is the white mycelium filaments at the planting site. It is better to use old mushrooms for planting.
Landing action plan:
- Bury the ground fly agarics under the roots of the trees, but not deeply.
- Scatter pieces of mushrooms near the desired trees, cover with foliage and water regularly with warm water.
- Transplant fly agarics from the forest.
- Prepare planting material. To do this, the mushrooms are crumbled into a bucket, filled with rainwater, after which the bucket is kept at a temperature slightly above 20 ° C for 2 days. Then the contents of the bucket are poured into a landing site that meets the required conditions.

Interesting information
Even in ancient times, people referred to the presented delicacy as an exquisite delicacy. It was not only baked, but also fried over an open fire, dried for the winter period.
If the quiet hunters managed to find a family with "cubs", then they were cut off without damaging the Volvo, so that they could then be sent to the salad without preliminary heat treatment. But here you should be extremely vigilant, since in this form, their description is almost identical to the babies of the pale toadstool. Only a cut test can prevent trouble, since inside the forest dwellers are completely different.
Despite the fact that the world knows this representative of the flora as Caesar's mushroom, the contemporaries of the great commander themselves preferred to call him "boleti".
Another tip for those who still poorly distinguishes edible representatives from false ones is the habitat. Knowing where this delicacy grows, it will turn out with more confidence to put it in your basket. Most often it can be found under oaks, beeches, chestnuts in deciduous or mixed forests.
Natural gifts prefer dry places where it is warm and sandy soil prevails. Initially, they delighted the gourmets of North Africa from Mexico, and more recently they have been spotted on the territory of Georgia, Russia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan.
