Description, composition and characteristic properties

The tool, called Fitoverm, is produced in the form of a concentrated emulsion with a specific pronounced odor. The active ingredient in the insecticide is called aversectin C, which is obtained from the metabolic products of a soil fungus belonging to the streptomyces genus.

On the market you can find a drug with an active ingredient concentration of 0.2 to 5%. The most optimal indicator is 2%. The biological product is sold packaged in ampoules of 2 ml, 4 ml, 5 ml or in vials (20 ml).

Remember not to spray insecticides on plants in your living room. In this case, you should move it to the street, or to a room that is not used as a residential building.

It is important to walk the solution over all parts of the plant, tree. Flower crops with an area of ​​100 m² take 10 liters. diluted preparation, for berries with the same dimensions - 1 liter per bush. If you process an adult tree, then one will take about 5 liters.

The destruction of the Colorado potato beetle on vegetable crops does not require large doses. Enough 4 liters per 100 m². But the rest of the pests will already take at least 8-10 liters, depending on the degree of infestation.

Since the resting phases (pupae, nymphs, eggs) do not die during processing, the procedures must be repeated. The interval is at least 5 days. In this case, you need to repeat as many times until all pests die. Most often, 3 treatments are enough.

We do not advise gardeners and summer residents to immediately take large volumes of goods, since the product quickly deteriorates.

Efficiency and waiting times

How to recognize a tick on houseplants

There are a number of signs or symptoms by which a pest colony can be detected in a houseplant. It:

the formation of dark brown spots on the leaves with microscopic holes in the middle. These are traces of sap eating; the leaves dry up, curl into buds and fall off; growth retardation; ticks may look black or reddish dots, since most stop growing by 0.5 mm; cobwebs and white bloom (in fact, these are eggs), in most cases, they are formed on the back side or attached to the stem of the flower; the presence of black or red dots on the web.

Having found a spider mite on flowers, do not panic. To irrevocably ditch the plant, the colony will need some time, which is more than enough to take the necessary measures.

Analogs

Fitoverm can be replaced with other biological products for the extermination of parasites:

1. Akarin. It is sold in the form of powder and emulsion. It has an intestinal contact effect. It is usually used against ticks. Its action is faster than that of Fitoverm. It starts working after 4-16 hours. Belongs to hazard class 1.
2. Bitoxibacillin. Available in powder. Has an intestinal effect. Belongs to the 3rd class of hazard. The waiting period is longer than Fitoverm.

Despite the completely natural composition, Fitoverm is a rather toxic agent, which has been assigned a third hazard class for humans, therefore, when working with it, certain precautions must be observed:

• All manipulations with the drug are carried out in protective gloves, glasses and a respirator. Clothing should fit snugly to the body, covering all parts of it.
• To prepare the working solution, only special containers are used. It is unacceptable to dilute the insecticide in dishes that can accidentally mix with kitchen utensils.
• During processing, it is forbidden to drink, smoke and eat.
• Do not spray near animals and small children, as well as in the immediate vicinity of reservoirs and aquariums.
• If the drug gets into the eyes, they are washed with plenty of running water. The solution on the skin is thoroughly washed off with soap and water. If you accidentally swallow Fitoverm, you must immediately induce vomiting, and then take several tablets of activated carbon (1 tablet per 10 kg of weight).
